Part-Time:

• Part-time employment for drivers that are looking for more flexibility.
• Currently only offering part-time work on weekends.
• Part-time drivers can work 8-36 hours per week
• Get paid $175 the same day
• Part-time drivers are not eligible for vacation pay

Other:

• Runs will include nights, weekends, and holidays that fall within your workweek. The week before a holiday is also mandatory*
• Slip-seat operation in a newer model day cab truck. Drivers will drive personal vehicles to work each day.
• Paid vacation is also included and starts after the first year on account. Vacation will pay out based on driver’s 52-week average.
• Drivers may possibly be asked to assist surrounding US Xpress sites which could require offload using electric pallet jack on occasion.
• Warehouse delays could cause some downtime between loads.

• When can I expect to move to a dayshift position, and/or have weekends off? It can be a long time, usually years, before we can offer days and weekends off.
• How do I get an assigned truck? Trucks are only assigned on an as-needed basis.
• How many hours and/or how many loads are expected of me per day? Expect to work an average of 12 hours per day.
• Do we get holiday pay? You will get $75 holiday pay IF you work on the holiday.

If you live within 50 miles of Tipp City, OH, you could be the perfect dedicated driver to add to our Meijer team! As a dedicated driver, you'll get home daily and drive an average of 2000 miles per week. This means you could earn around $1350 every week and up to $70k annually, plus $20 per stop.
As part of the Meijer dedicated team, you’ll run dry and refrigerated NO-TOUCH freight to various Meijer locations in OH, KY & IN – most within 250 miles of the Meijer distribution center. Freight will either be live unloaded or drop & hook at Meijer stores. You will also pick up live load or drop & hook backhauls en route, or possibly leave straight from the DC for one.
To give you the best possible driving experience, the distribution center includes 24/7 on-site staff.
Runs will include nights, weekends, and holidays that fall within your workweek. Routes may vary between one and multi-stop.
But being a dedicated driver is no easy task. That’s why after a year on the account, you can take a week of paid vacation. After 1 year, you can take 1 week of vacation. And after 3 years, 2 weeks.
If you choose to join the team, you’ll go through a short training to help get you started on the right foot. And you’ll get paid to do it. You’ll do 1 day of ride-along training at $100.
